Mirror’s Edge (Specific)

Mirror’s Edge is commonly referred to as being built with a heavily modified version of the Unreal Engine 3, however, i’m pretty sure it was a modified version of 2.5 with the addition of a new lighting solution, developed by “illuminate labs” in association with DICE.  This game influenced the production of UDK and UE4 as it’s lighting system was so advanced. Infact, Mirror’s Edge is currently the driving influence behind the Visual Clarity that will be achieved in the new Unreal Tournament.

– Also i guess that Mirror’s Edge 2 is likely to go through some drastic changes with the announcement and display of the new Unreal Tournament content.

The Mirror’s Edge (Specific) Tutorials will simply cover the setup and use of the MEdge editor and link to other (already documented) tutorials.

 

 

Also in writing this i learnt the game has been ported to a windows phone (2yrs ago) lol. that’s cool.
